HILLSTOWE
The Hillstowe label was born in 1991, although its winemaker Chris Laurie and his family have had their Carey Gully, Adelaide Hills property planted to Chardonnay and Pinot Noir since 1980. The Hillstowe stable of wines includes the premium quality Adelaide Hills Udy’s Mill Chardonnay and Pinot Noir and the Buxton range of Merlot Cabernet, Shiraz, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc from McLaren Vale. A delightful cellar door was opened in the nearby Hills town of Hahndorf in 1995, consisting of a complex of old stone cottages and surrounded by trees and gardens.
