Hunter Valley Resort Cooking School
Join Karina Barry who worked as a chef at The Savoy in London and Rockpool in Sydney and husband Brian Barry who is a Wine Educator with 25 years experience in the Wine Industry.
They take you on a visit to the Binnorie Cheese Factory where you will experience a private tasting. Then it is back to their purpose built Cooking School Kitchen with Library and Wine Cellar attached.
THE DAYS SCHEDULE INCLUDES:
- 9.30am
VISIT THE BINNORIE CHEESE FACTORY (next door) Private tasting and tutorial
- 10.30am
TOUR OF THE WINERY AND TUTORIAL WITH BRIAN
- 11.30am
COOKING SCHOOL KITCHEN Dishes chosen and Recipe formulated
Group to cook dishes with Brian and Karina assisting
- 1.00pm
ENJOY THREE-COURSE LUNCH
- 2.30pm

The schedule for our weekend of cooking and fun begins:
Friday
A sumptuous 3-course welcome dinner prepared by Sioban will give Carlo and Sioban an opportunity to welcome you all and for you to informally meet the other guests.
Saturday
- 8am till 9.30am – Gourmet cooked or continental breakfast
- 10.30am – Cooking School commences, aprons on and let the fun begin!
4 hours of blood, sweat and laughter over the hot stove!
- 2.30pm – Lunch around the big 12-foot table to enjoy the taste sensations you have cooked and relax with a well earned glass of wine
- 4.30pm – Free time to explore the area or relax at your leisure
Evening – We can arrange a reservation for you in one of our nearby restaurants or for those preferring a night in, a simple platter can be provided to enjoy with a glass of wine.
Sunday
8.00am till 9.30 am – Leisurely gourmet cooked or continental breakfast to farewell your cooking companions and new found friends.

Minimum 6-10 people per class
Please note the minimum booking is 8 people travelling together as a group. Larger groups can also be catered.
